Rupert Myer AO
Rupert is Chair of Arts and Culture Think Tank, A New Approach, Chair of the Felton Bequests’ Committee and President of The Myer Foundation. He is a member of the University of Melbourne’s Faculty Business and Economic Board.
He has a long connection with arts and culture having served as Chair of both the National Gallery of Australia and Creative Australia (formerly the Australia Council for the Arts). He is a former Chair of the Opera Australia Capital Fund and chaired the Commonwealth Government’s Contemporary Visual Arts and Craft Inquiry. He is an Emeritus Trustee of the National Gallery of Victoria.
He holds a Master of Arts from Cambridge University and a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from Melbourne University. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities.
